Teeter Totter
CHRIS ALVESHERE, SOLO SHOW
Teeter Totter is Chris Alveshere's first solo exhibition at NCECA. His work focuses on form and color through the lens of joy and play, both as inspiration for the pots and a mindset of his studio practice. The color palette of both clay and glaze speaks of toys, plastics, candy, advertisements, and often alludes to function and speaks to the colors, materials, and processes of contemporary ceramics.
Core Connections
Core Clay, Grab & Go
Core Clay has been operating in Cincinnati since 2005. Through its many forms and functions it has always been grounded in community service and education. Core Connections is a collection of long time studio members, employees, as well as former and current Artists-In-Residents. This show is a celebration of all of the amazing people who have worked to make Core Clay what it is today.
Undercurrents
Core Clay Members Group Show
Core Clay Studio Members have mounted this three-part exhibition in the very spaces where their ceramic works were produced. Dues-paying members, studio renters, and students are the sustaining life-blood of many local arts organizations and studios, both in Greater Cincinnati Area and around the country. "Undercurrents" seeks to highlight what is visible just beneath the surface.
