Glaze Testing

Public·22 members

These two Blates went through a lot but the results were fascinating. I threw these with WC617 and first glazed them with Panama Red all over and a second layer of Crimson just around the rim. I sent them through Cone 5 Reduction but they came out with pretty significant crazing. I sent them through a Cone 5 Electric after that and this was the end result. Ultimately, I think this clay body and these glazes just don't get along and I'd probably have better luck using the Sio-2 Aneto or maybe WC 401, as they ended up dunting pretty terribly.
